# 小雨西游Ⅱ (Xiaoyu Xiyou II) / Light Rain Journey to the West II (Xiaoyu Xiyou II) > slug: `xyxy2` · browser status: `playable` · native port: `40003` Originally archived under the generic filename "20150716 unknown lib.zip," this is actually the second entry in the "Xiaoyu Xiyou" (Light Rain Journey to the West) engine family, sharing a lineage with this project's sibling snapshots xiaoyuxiyou and xyxyutf8 (confirmed via an identical chinese.c file and shared world data, though a content-hash comparison shows it's not byte-identical to either -- each is a snapshot from a different point in the game's development, not a re-encoding). New characters actually start at Cuixiang Tower in the Aolai Kingdom -- Sun Wukong's own birthplace in the original novel -- not at a Chang'an tavern as an earlier version of this description claimed. From there, players spar safely against a training NPC to gain early levels, apprentice under a martial-arts-hall instructor, and can eventually cross a raft to Chang'an to join the Hundred Flowers Valley sect. Death sends characters to the underworld, landing them in a waystation town with its own "Board Between Life and Death" bulletin board before reviving them with a stat penalty. ## Play in the browser (WebAssembly) - Landing page (description + notes): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/xyxy2/ - Play now (boots the WASM driver): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/xyxy2/play.html ## Download source ZIP - Same-origin ZIP (trimmed source tree, no need to clone the whole repo): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/xyxy2/xyxy2.zip - GitHub tree: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/tree/main/libs/xyxy2 - README: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/xyxy2/README.md - Restoration notes (NOTES.md): https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/xyxy2/NOTES.md ## Run natively with FluffOS 1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs). 2. Download and unzip `xyxy2.zip` from the URL above (or clone `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/xyxy2/`). 3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path). 4. Start the driver: ```bash /path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos ``` 5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40003`. - Admin / wizard login: `fluffos` / `Mud@2026` - If you host this on a public network, change the published default admin password before opening the port. ## Machine-readable catalog - Site-wide catalog: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/games.json - Site-wide LLM overview: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/llms.txt - This file: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/xyxy2/llms.txt
