# 西游记 4.2 / Journey to the West 4.2

An independent Journey to the West mythology implementation with a fuller mythological map than most siblings in this family -- the Thirty-Three Heavens, the Garden of Immortal Peaches, Penglai, and the Heavenly Palace are all built out, plus a guild-hall zone (d/banghui/) unique to this archive. New characters can apprentice into the Lingtai Fangcun Mountain sect under disciple Yun Qing, and a poem-guessing minigame quizzes players with real Tang-dynasty poetry drawn from a library of hundreds of poems (confirmed real works by Pei Di and Gao Shi, not placeholder text). Death sends characters to the underworld (阴阳界), where Judge Cui reviews the register of life and death and resurrects them at a waystation.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `xyj42.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/xyj42/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40203`.

- Admin / wizard login: `fluffos` / `Mud@2026`
- If you host this on a public network, change the published default
  admin password before opening the port.
