# 笑傲江湖（迷你版） / The Smiling, Proud Wanderer (Mini Edition)

A wuxia MUD set in Jin Yong's "The Smiling, Proud Wanderer," the smallest, most minimal build in this collection's xo series — the author's own "mini xo." The map is deliberately bare-bones: two cities (Yangzhou and a wharf town) and a single playable sect, the Wuliang (Boundless) Sect, making it a good look at this ES2/"Falcon"-family engine's basic framework stripped of content. Its sibling archive, the Final Edition (xo_final), reuses this same map and sect almost line-for-line (only minor per-file edits differ) while expanding it into a much larger world with 10 cities and 16 sects.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `xo.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/xo/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40023`.

- Admin / wizard login: `fluffos` / `Mud@2026`
- If you host this on a public network, change the published default
  admin password before opening the port.
