# 武林列传Ⅲ / Wulin Liezhuan III (Chronicles of the Martial World III)

武林列传Ⅲ (WLLZ Mudlib 3.0b, "天无际，海无涯"), the third generation of a Chinese wuxia MUD built by the MoonLight wizard group on the Eastern Story II base and run in 2008-2009. Its story and characters come from Jin Yong's novels: players start in the inn of Taoyuan town and travel through some sixty regions, from the Shaolin, Wudang, Emei, Huashan and Mingjiao sect grounds to Yangzhou, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Chang'an and Dali, with more than twenty schools to join. Newcomers live through a chain of background events taken from the novels; the game adds permanent professions (fisherman, miner, thief, tailor, smith), weapon forging with five-element properties, player-founded factions that can grow into sects with their own martial arts, marriage, hired bodyguards, post-horse routes and a Mark Six-style lottery.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `wllz3.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/wllz3/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40322`.
