# Skylib / Skylib FluffOS > slug: `skylib` · browser status: `playable` · native port: `40222` Version 1.8 of Skylib, an English-language LPMud library boot-banner'd as the "Divided Sky Distribution Lib," in the Discworld/Nightmare lineage: soul-based emotes, a directory-based per-verb command dispatcher, round-time combat, and guilds, built around the same command-dispatch style as Discworld rather than the driver's native add_action(). Content-wise this is an honest work-in-progress skeleton rather than a finished game -- the login banner itself says "this mud is still under construction" -- with no designed adventure zones, only the standard five starting guilds (fighter, mage, thief, cleric, artisan), a training dummy, and a small template area of generic rooms (tavern, garden, shops). The archive itself also includes deliberately-broken LPC-error teaching examples and a dead/superseded alternate room-topography system left in place as reference material rather than active content. Like imud/foundation2, this lib makes a real outbound Intermud-3 socket connection at boot (to a near-certainly-defunct 1990s host) and should not be swept into high-frequency automated re-boot loops. ## Play in the browser (WebAssembly) - Landing page (description + notes): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/skylib/ - Play now (boots the WASM driver): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/skylib/play.html ## Download source ZIP - Same-origin ZIP (trimmed source tree, no need to clone the whole repo): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/skylib/skylib.zip - GitHub tree: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/tree/main/libs/skylib - README: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/skylib/README.md - Restoration notes (NOTES.md): https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/skylib/NOTES.md ## Run natively with FluffOS 1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs). 2. Download and unzip `skylib.zip` from the URL above (or clone `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/skylib/`). 3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path). 4. Start the driver: ```bash /path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos ``` 5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40222`. - Admin / wizard login: see this lib's README (no seeded account recorded) - If you host this on a public network, change the published default admin password before opening the port. ## Machine-readable catalog - Site-wide catalog: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/games.json - Site-wide LLM overview: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/llms.txt - This file: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/skylib/llms.txt
