# 北大侠客行 / Peking University Ode to Gallantry (PKUXKX)

The well-known Peking University wuxia MUD 北大侠客行 (PKUXKX), a large ES-II-descended tree distinct from this collection's 侠客行一百 snapshots (xkx100/xkx2017/xkx2001). New characters type new, pick an English id, a 1-6 character Chinese name, a complexity-checked password, email, and gender, then land in 未明谷 (Weiming Valley), the PKU-themed newbie area, until they finish the village tutorial. In-game text is Chinese (look/score/quit). Admin is a standard wizlist file. No MySQL required for play.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `pkuxkx.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/pkuxkx/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40274`.

- If you host this on a public network, change the published default
  admin password before opening the port.
