# 模拟华附 / Simulated Huafu (mnhf)

A campus-life simulation mudlib set at the real-world campus of South China Normal University's Affiliated High School (Huafu) in Guangzhou, with no wuxia or fantasy trappings — its map (`d/huafu/`) faithfully recreates real school locations like teaching buildings, dorms, the computer room, and the library. Character creation picks a personality type (studious, lively, calm, or athletic) instead of the usual sect/race choice, and a boot-camp-style newbie orientation walks players through the game's economy (bike-shed attendant work, dishwashing at McDonald's for cash) before dropping them at a hub where a numbered menu (1-6: Juqing Garden, teaching building, office building, library, McDonald's, back-gate garden) stands in for the usual compass-direction exploration — closer to a mobile game's UI than a typical wuxia MUD. Quests are timed fetch-and-return jobs claimed directly from an NPC via a `quest` command rather than the classic `ask...about`, with a practice bird on the lawn for newcomers to try it on.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `mnhf.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/mnhf/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40156`.

- Admin / wizard login: `fluffos` / `Test1234`
- If you host this on a public network, change the published default
  admin password before opening the port.
