# LPmud 2.4.5 / LPmud 2.4.5 > slug: `lpmud245` · browser status: `playable` · native port: `40262` A pristine, pre-LDMud LPMud 2.4.5 snapshot -- the mudlib distributed with Lars Pensjo's own original LPMud driver line, from right before the LDMud/MudOS fork. A real, playable small world (286 files, hundreds of rooms) rather than an infrastructure sketch: new characters land in the village church (which hides a call-button-summoned elevator behind its west wall) and can explore a green, market road, bank, shops, and an adventurers' guild that runs a real fetch quest -- 'Retrieve the Orc slayer from the evil orc shaman, and give it to Leo' -- pointing players at an orc valley with its own orc-treasure room. A twelve-room forest and a 29-tunnel mine flank the village; a giant's lair, path, and confrontation room house a cloned, aggressive level-15 giant NPC; and the village shore road leads out to an entirely separate 'south' region -- its own self-contained ~49-room forest, 18-room island archipelago, and 30-room shoreline. ## Play in the browser (WebAssembly) - Landing page (description + notes): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/lpmud245/ - Play now (boots the WASM driver): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/lpmud245/play.html ## Download source ZIP - Same-origin ZIP (trimmed source tree, no need to clone the whole repo): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/lpmud245/lpmud245.zip - GitHub tree: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/tree/main/libs/lpmud245 - README: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/lpmud245/README.md - Restoration notes (NOTES.md): https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/lpmud245/NOTES.md ## Run natively with FluffOS 1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs). 2. Download and unzip `lpmud245.zip` from the URL above (or clone `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/lpmud245/`). 3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path). 4. Start the driver: ```bash /path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos ``` 5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40262`. - Admin / wizard login: see this lib's README (no seeded account recorded) - If you host this on a public network, change the published default admin password before opening the port. ## Machine-readable catalog - Site-wide catalog: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/games.json - Site-wide LLM overview: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/llms.txt - This file: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/lpmud245/llms.txt
