# 源流福爾摩沙 / Formosa Saga

A Taiwan-history exploration MUD (源流福爾摩沙) by wade-fs. New characters pick a language, id, password, nickname, race, and nature; the first player names the mud and becomes god, then starts in 民雄鄉 (Minxiong / 打貓社), a Chiayi township built as layered historical sites rather than square rooms. Play is Traditional Chinese (look/info/quit); travel uses place names (民雄車站, 大士爺廟, 甘蔗田). No MySQL required.

## Run natively with FluffOS

1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos
   (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs).
2. Download and unzip `formosasaga.zip` from the URL above (or clone
   `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/formosasaga/`).
3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points
   `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a
   maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path).
4. Start the driver:

```bash
/path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos
```

5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40276`.

- Admin / wizard login: see this lib's README (no seeded account recorded)
- If you host this on a public network, change the published default
  admin password before opening the port.
