# 东方故事Ⅱ — Eastern Story II (ES II) / Eastern Story II (ES II) > slug: `es2` · browser status: `playable` · native port: `40214` One of the earliest Chinese-language LPC mudlibs -- GitHub's mudchina org describes it as "the progenitor of Chinese MUDs" (中文MUD鼻祖). A from-scratch LPMud-lineage codebase (credited to Annihilator@Eastern.Stories, 1994-1995, built on the Lil mudlib with TMI feature-mixin code) rather than a reskin of an existing engine -- this project's own recurring "ES2/TMI-2/Falcon family" terminology for dozens of later Chinese mudlibs traces back to this exact lineage. Players register with a real Chinese name, land at a mountain inn (饮风客栈), and explore a wuxia/xianxia world of domains (city gates and streets, snow-capped mountains, a temple, a bamboo canyon, a ghost/graveyard area) with guild-style skill training, a two-tier reputation system, and NPCs including a Dragon Ball crossover cameo (孙悟空/Son Goku, described in-game as ESII's first self-growing NPC whose combat experience permanently accumulates from the moment he's created). ## Play in the browser (WebAssembly) - Landing page (description + notes): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/es2/ - Play now (boots the WASM driver): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/es2/play.html ## Download source ZIP - Same-origin ZIP (trimmed source tree, no need to clone the whole repo): https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/es2/es2.zip - GitHub tree: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/tree/main/libs/es2 - README: https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/es2/README.md - Restoration notes (NOTES.md): https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs/blob/main/libs/es2/NOTES.md ## Run natively with FluffOS 1. Build a current FluffOS driver from https://github.com/fluffos/fluffos (native `build` / `build-debug`; see that repo's docs). 2. Download and unzip `es2.zip` from the URL above (or clone `https://github.com/fluffos/mudlibs` and use `libs/es2/`). 3. From the unzipped lib directory, ensure `config.fluffos` points `mudlib directory` at this tree (the checked-in file may contain a maintainer-local absolute path — edit it to your extract path). 4. Start the driver: ```bash /path/to/fluffos/build/src/driver config.fluffos ``` 5. Connect a UTF-8 MUD client to `127.0.0.1:40214`. - Admin / wizard login: `fluffos` / `Mud@2026` - If you host this on a public network, change the published default admin password before opening the port. ## Machine-readable catalog - Site-wide catalog: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/games.json - Site-wide LLM overview: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/llms.txt - This file: https://mudlibs.fluffos.info/es2/llms.txt
